Dildo Baggins Explores the Human Duality in His Upcoming Third Album, “Pijak i złodziej”
Dildo Baggins is set to return on April 17, 2026, with his third studio effort, Pijak i złodziej (The Drunkard and the Thief). A sprawling concept piece, the album is meticulously divided into two sonic hemispheres: “Pijak“, a space reserved for the artist’s more introspective, melancholic ruminations, and “Złodziej“, a collection defined by raw, guitar-driven urgency and a defiant, rebellious spirit. Together, they form a cohesive emotional narrative exploring the friction between vulnerability and impulse, silence and roar.
Leading the charge are a series of singles that showcase the album’s stylistic breadth. “Złe przeczucia” (Bad Omens) serves as a high-octane guitar manifesto. Rooted in intense arrangements and clear rock influences, the track exudes an atmosphere of creeping inevitability – a sentiment that resonated deeply with audiences, securing an eight-week run on Antyradio’s prestigious Turbo Top chart.
In stark contrast stands “Niejednemu psu na imię miłość“, a delicate duet with Kafi (BAiKA). Here, Baggins leans into his lyrical sensibilities, delivering a poignant meditation on the ambiguity of love – a term that often masks vastly different, and sometimes contradictory, experiences.
A focal point of the record is the opening track, “Masło” (Butter), featuring the legendary Grabaż (Pidżama Porno, Strachy na Lachy). This collaboration marks a significant meeting of two distinct voices in the Polish alternative scene, both sharing a penchant for irony, surrealist wordplay, and lyrical weight. The track masterfully blends gritty instrumentation with a multi-layered commentary on the anxieties of the everyday and the bold declarations that often stem from hidden fears. “Masło” doesn’t just open the album; it sets the psychological tone for the entire journey.
Since his debut, Dildo Baggins has remained a fascinatingly cryptic figure, famously obscuring his face behind a cardboard bag and maintaining a calculated distance from the artifice of the music industry. His work continues to be a volatile mix of uncompromising honesty and unpredictable alternative energy. Driven by a sense of fatalistic urgency – the artist himself claims to know the exact date of his demise – Baggins creates music without the burden of compromise.
“Pijak i złodziej” promises to be the most multifaceted and definitive work of Baggins’ career to date – an album that thrives on contradiction and guides the listener through a high-tension spectrum of human emotion.
